The Pizzuti Companies are excited to participate in a large-scale volunteer opportunity hosted by PENCIL (Public Education Needs Community Involvement & Leadership) on Tuesday, July 11.

 During the all-day event, Pizzuti Solutions LLC will assist with packing kits for area classrooms at the current PENCIL facility. This partnership is in anticipation of identifying a new home for the organization, in which Pizzuti will provide pro-bono space planning and programming to guide future facility decisions for the nonprofit.

 “Our organization has aided similar non-profits and government entities in navigating their facility needs. When we learned about PENCIL’s mission, we were excited to help provide resources to the teachers and students at Metro Nashville Public Schools," said Jim Russell, Executive Vice President of Public/Private Partnerships for Pizzuti Solutions LLC.

 In the coming months, Pizzuti and PENCIL will work together to outline the necessary real estate and space needs in order to better serve Metro Nashville Public Schools and educators.

 “We are looking forward to hosting the Pizzuti team for a volunteer experience at the PENCIL warehouse, as the official kickoff to our new partnership. From helping prep the DG PENCIL Box, PENCIL's free teacher supply store, to evaluating PENCIL's future office and warehouse needs, we are excited to see where this partnership continues to go,” said Joel Wright, PENCIL’s Director of PENCIL Box Programs.
