The Pizzuti Companies has announced that national retailer, Bonobos, has signed a new lease at the firm’s latest mixed-use development in the Short North Arts District, located at 875 North High Street in Columbus, Ohio.
Bonobos, the largest apparel brand ever built online in the United States, will occupy 1,500 square feet along High Street on the ground floor. Originally founded as an online-only retailer in 2007, Bonobos began opening brick-and-mortar locations in 2012. The brand is known for providing better-fitting men’s clothing and is committed to re-inventing the retail store experience. This lease marks their first location in Columbus and third in Ohio.
“We serve many Columbus based customers via our website and our Ninjas; so when the opportunity to open in Short North presented itself, we jumped at the chance,” said Andrew Wingrove, Chief Experience Officer at Bonobos. We’re honored to continue to bring Bonobos to life for our existing customers and excited to make our better-fitting clothes and exceptional service accessible to more new customers in the Midwest.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Bonobos as our first retail tenant in the building,” said Phil Rasey, Vice President of Development for The Pizzuti Companies. “The brand is a great addition to the building and the surrounding neighborhood; it’s a natural fit.”
Bonobos will join the office tenant, Industrious, in Pizzuti’s four-story mixed-use building. Industrious is the largest premium workplace provider in the United States and will occupy 30,000 square feet on the building’s third and fourth floors. The building will open in July of this year.
“Bonobos and Industrious are the types of creative, forward-thinking tenants that perfectly complement the project and the Short North,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, President of The Pizzuti Companies. “The addition of Bonobos will add an exciting new retail option to the Short North and further establish the area as a place to be in Columbus.”
