The Pizzuti Companies has announced new tenants in Pizzuti’s six-story Joseph office building, currently under construction on North High Street in the Short North Arts District.
Drive Capital and QICParc Inc (the asset manager behind CampusParc) have each signed long-term lease deals to occupy space in the 60,000-square-foot office/retail building, said Joel S. Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Companies.
“We’re encouraged by the interest the market has shown in office space at the Joseph,” Pizzuti said. “With the signing of these new tenants, just two floors – or approximately 20,000 square feet – remain available.”
Drive Capital invests in innovative technology, healthcare and consumer companies in the Midwest, and will occupy an entire floor of approximately 11,000 square feet. QICParc Inc, to occupy approximately 4,500 square feet, oversees CampusParc and the management of The Ohio State University parking facilities.
The two new tenants will join retailer Anthropologie, which will occupy portions of the building’s first and second floors. In March, Pizzuti announced the real estate development firm will move its Columbus headquarters from Two Miranova to the Joseph office building.
The Joseph mixed-use development is located along North High Street at Russell Street. Other project components include a boutique hotel, Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph; a 313-space parking garage adjacent to the office building; and the Pizzuti Collection, exhibition space that houses the modern art collection of Ron Pizzuti, founder and CEO of The Pizzuti Companies.
The office building (with 60,000 square feet of office and retail space) and parking garage will open in the fall of this year; the boutique hotel will open in January 2015. The Pizzuti Collection opened to the public in September 2013.
Pizzuti was represented by Aaron Duncan and Chris Potts of Colliers International in each of the lease transactions.
