The Pizzuti Companies and its development partner, USAA Real Estate, have broken ground on two speculative buildings in the CreekSide Industrial Center.
Work is in progress on CreekSide XVIII, a 234,360-square foot building and CreekSide XVI, a 155,866-square-foot building. The buildings are designed for both single- and multi-tenant uses, and are divisible to meet each user’s specific needs.
Both buildings will be located on a 22-acre site on Global Court, and feature direct access from Alum Creek Drive, 32-foot clear heights, LED lighting and a 15-year, 100 percent tax abatement.
“We’re excited to bring new speculative space to the CreekSide Industrial Center,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, president and chief operating officer of The Pizzuti Companies. “CreekSide has played a key role in our company’s growth over the past 20 years and we look forward to the completion of two new buildings in what has become one of the region’s finest industrial parks.”
Pizzuti has developed more than 10 million square feet at CreekSide since initiating work on the 274,698-square-foot CreekSide I building in 1998. “We recognized from the start that CreekSide is an attractive distribution site for companies of all sizes, with easy access to highways, excellent infrastructure and an attractive park-like setting,” Pizzuti said. “The Village of Obetz has been an outstanding partner and we’re pleased to play a part in the community’s economic development efforts.”
Pizzuti’s CreekSide projects over the past two decades have ranged in size from a 29,374-square-foot facility for VSP to a 766,795-square-foot, build-to-suit distribution center for Continental Tire.
Both CreekSide XVIII and XVI are scheduled for completion this fall.
