The Pizzuti Companies has announced that retailer Anthropologie has leased space in Pizzuti’s Joseph office building in the Short North arts district.
Anthropologie, a destination for women wanting a curated mix of clothing, accessories, gifts and home décor, will occupy nearly 9,800 square feet on the Joseph’s first and second floors. Anthropologie, a division of Urban Outfitters Inc. and founded in 1992, operates several Ohio stores, including one at Easton Town Center.
“Anthropologie is a perfect fit for the Joseph and the Short North,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Companies. “Anthropologie’s presence will add an exciting new retail option in the Short North and further establish the area as the place to be in Columbus.”
Pizzuti’s mixed-use Joseph development is located along North High Street at Russell Street. Other project components include a boutique hotel (Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph), a 313-space parking garage adjacent to the office building, and the Pizzuti Collection, gallery space that houses the modern art collection of Ron Pizzuti, founder and CEO of The Pizzuti Companies.
The office building (with 60,000 square feet of office and retail space), hotel and parking garage are scheduled for completion in 2014; the Pizzuti Collection gallery will open to the public Sept. 7, 2013.
