The Pizzuti Companies has announced the promotion of two long-time associates.
Don Wheat has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Public-Private Projects and Phil Rasey has been promoted to Director of Development.
“Don and Phil are valued Pizzuti associates who have each played key roles in our company’s success over the past decade,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Companies. “I look forward to working with them both as they assume additional leadership responsibilities at Pizzuti.”
Wheat, a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional, joined Pizzuti in October 2006 and has led several of Pizzuti’s large-scale owner’s representative engagements including the development of the new Franklin County Courthouse in downtown Columbus and the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s multi-facility 2020 Vision building program which is currently in progress.
He earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Miami University and a Master of Architecture with concentrations in Energy Conscious Design and Adaptive Use/Historic Preservation from the University of Texas.
Rasey joined Pizzuti in June 2004, and is a leader in the firm’s leasing, sales and development activities. Rasey has been instrumental in the development and leasing of multiple Pizzuti properties, including CreekSide Industrial Center, The Joseph mixed-use development, and SouthPark Business Center.
He is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and Real Estate.
