Developed through a partnership between The Pizzuti Companies and the Kent State University Foundation, the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center represents years of planning and collaboration between Alumni, University, and the Kent State Foundation.
The boutique hotel includes 94-guestrooms and suites and 5,400 square feet of meeting and banquet space, including a 300-seat conference center. The property features an indoor pool, exercise room, and on-site dining options.
Conveniently located adjacent to Kent State University campus, the hotel and conference center became the centerpiece of a $100 million redevelopment of downtown Kent. Additional components of this redevelopment effort included a multi-modal transportation center, mixed-use project featuring offices, retail, and residential space, and an Esplanade walkway, linking the University’s campus to the rejuvenated downtown.
