The Pizzuti Companies was chosen to develop a 330,000-square-foot distribution center for Whirlpool KitchenAid. Located adjacent to an existing Whirlpool manufacturing facility, the development includes 6,000 square feet of office space.
The KitchenAid facility’s sustainable features include water efficient landscaping to reduce consumption, regional and recycled materials, Earth-friendly refrigerants, and an indoor air quality plan.
The Greenville project is just one of nearly 15 Whirlpool projects completed by Pizzuti. Since 2000, the companies have jointly developed over seven million square feet of industrial and office facilities throughout the country. Other projects include a 1.6-million-square-foot Regional Distribution Center in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a renovation of Whirlpool’s existing global headquarters and new development of their three-building corporate office campus in downtown Benton Harbor, Michigan.
