The Pizzuti Companies was selected to develop a 700,350-square-foot regional distribution center for Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, Ohio. The distribution center is located on a 27-acre parcel adjacent to an existing Whirlpool manufacturing facility off State Route 23.
The project included the demolition of an existing 450,000-square-foot building and the installation of 13,000 linear feet of water, storm, and sanitary sewer lines.
The Marion project is just one of nearly 15 Whirlpool projects completed by Pizzuti. Since 2000, the companies have jointly developed over seven million square feet of industrial and office facilities throughout the country. Other projects include a 1.6-million-square-foot Regional Distribution Center in Columbus, Ohio, as well as a renovation of Whirlpool’s existing global headquarters and new development of their three-building corporate office campus in downtown Benton Harbor, Michigan.
